STOP THE BLEED Training: Community Members – Professional Staff Development – Youth

• Description: The training is designed to educate, equip and empower youth and adults to help in a bleeding emergency until professional help arrives.

Objectives:

• To recognize life-threatening wounds
• To demonstrate what to do when someone is severely bleeding to save the lives of those who have suffered a traumatic injury
• To learn how to pack different types of wounds
• To be taught how and when to use a tourniquet
