Wendy Tepfer: Director of the Community Parent Center
Wendy Tepfer has been the Director of the Community Parent Center since 2002. As Director of The Community Parent Center Ms. Tepfer works diligently for all of the parents and children in her hometown and the surrounding communities. Ms. Tepfer is dedicated and committed to providing quality programming to parents and children in Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick and North Merrick schools as well as those attending parochial and private schools in these communities.
Ms. Tepfer has over 10 years experience as an executive member of various non-profit organizations and PTA. She has extensive experience building programs and providing services to families with children grades Pre K-12. Ms Tepfer has received multiple awards in recognition of her exemplary service for the educational community. In 2011 she received the New York State Governors’ Traffic Safety Chairman’s Award. In 2008 she received both the New York State United Teachers Friends of Education Award along with the Bellmore Merrick friends of Teachers Award. Additionally, Ms. Tepfer brings nearly 20 years of community involvement to her work at the Center.
Jenna Maguire: Social Media Manager + Content Creator
Jenna Maguire joined the Community Parent Center in 2020 as the Social Media Manager.
Prior to the Community Parent Center she worked for a local Boys &. Girls Club in NonProfit development. Although she has taken some time off to raise her children she has always kept one foot in the door consulting
and supporting local charities with her growing skill-set.
Jenna has a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from The University of Tampa. She has a real heart for the Non-Profit world and a keen understanding and vision to improve outreach and social media for the Parent Center.
